Kakuro Is Nicknamed the Mathematical Crossword
Kakuro — a puzzle combining the grid structure of crosswords with the numerical constraint logic of Sudoku — is often called the mathematical crossword. Each row and column segment must sum to a given clue number using unique digits 1–9. Like Sudoku, Kakuro requires no arithmetic beyond basic addition, relying entirely on logical deduction.
