How to Solve This Logic Grid Puzzle
This one introduces the either/or clue — a clue that narrows a person down to two choices instead of ruling out just one. On its own, an either/or clue rarely settles anything. Put two of them together and they can do a lot of work.
Overlap the either/or clues. Clues 2 and 3 are both about Wren, and each gives her two options. Only one genre appears in both lists — that has to be her pick. Mark the ✓, then ✗ the rest of her row and that whole column.
Turn an either/or into ✗s. On paper, an either/or clue is really a "not" in disguise: if Wren picked comedy or documentary, then she did not pick horror. Writing that ✗ down first makes the overlap easy to spot.
Finish with the plain clue. Once Wren's genre is crossed off for everyone else, clue 1 leaves Omar with only one option, and Deja gets whatever's left.

About This Puzzle
The Movie Night is a 3×3 grid, so it's quick, but it plays differently from our other starter puzzle, Podium Placements. That one is solved entirely with "did not" clues. Here, two of the three clues are either/or statements, and the solve hinges on noticing where they overlap. If you've done Podium Placements, this is the natural next step.
