Each number tells you how many squares in a row to fill in that line, in order. A clue of 2 2 means: fill 2 squares, leave at least one blank, then fill 2 more.

How to Solve This Nonogram

Nonograms (also called picross, griddlers, or hanjie) are logic puzzles that hide a picture inside a grid of numbers:

Start with the biggest clues. A row or column clue close to the full width tells you the whole line is nearly filled — mark those first.
Watch for lone single clues. A clue of just 1 sitting between two solved lines can often be pinned down early using the cells already fixed above and below it.
Work the overlap. When a clue number is more than half the line's length, the middle cells must always be filled no matter how the run shifts — mark those immediately.

Walkthrough: Your First Four Moves

Not sure where to begin? Here's exactly how Mr. Puzzle opens this grid. Rows are numbered top to bottom and columns left to right.

Clear the border. Row 1 has no clue, and neither do columns 1–6 and 25. The working area is columns 7 to 24 (18 wide) and rows 2 to 25 (24 tall).
Columns 9 and 17 (23). In 24 rows, that's 1 square of wiggle room, so rows 3 through 24 are filled.
Columns 10 and 16 (22). 2 squares of wiggle room, so rows 4 through 23 are filled.
The bottom rows. Row 24 (18) is exactly the working width, so fill columns 7 through 24. Row 25 (16) gives you columns 9 to 22.

Once the main body is done, columns 19 to 24 are their own shape on the right. Start with column 22's run of 16.

Why It's Rated Hard

A big 25×25 with a detailed face (columns 11 to 15 have lots of split clues) and a separate shape on the right. It can be done one line at a time, but it rewards patience and careful counting.
