How to Solve This Sudoku
Sudoku only feels like guesswork if you're missing a starting method. Try this simple sequence on this grid:
Fill the obvious singles first. Any cell where eight of nine digits are already ruled out by its row, column, and box is a free answer — clear all of these before anything else.
Re-scan after every fill. Each number you place changes the candidates around it, so a full re-scan after each fill often unlocks several more singles in a row.
Keep the grid, not just the cell, in view. New solvers tend to stare at one blank cell; experienced solvers scan the whole row and column together, which reveals answers faster.

About This Puzzle
Easy Sudoku #3 gives you 42 starting numbers, the leanest of the four easy puzzles though still a world away from the hard tier. Row 2 carries only 3 givens, the thinnest line on this grid, making it a good spot to circle back to once the fuller rows around it are locked in.
