How to Solve This Maze
Mazes reward patience more than speed — a steady method beats random wandering every time.
Work backwards too. If a section of the path looks hopeless, start from the goal and trace back toward the start. The two ends often meet faster than solving in one direction only.
Hug one wall. Pick a hand (say, always keep your pencil to the right-hand wall) and follow it continuously — it's a reliable way to eventually reach the exit in a maze with no loops.
Mark dead ends. Lightly shade passages that dead-end so your eye doesn't wander back into them a second time.
About This Puzzle
Mouse and Cheese is a 22×22 square maze — one long, twisting corridor with no loops and only one true route from start to finish. Guide the mouse from the top-left entrance, marked with 🐝, all the way through to the wedge of cheese, 🧀, waiting at the bottom-right. At this size it's a genuine sit-down puzzle rather than a quick warm-up.
