How to Solve This Nonogram
Nonograms (also called picross, griddlers, or hanjie) are logic puzzles that hide a picture inside a grid of numbers:
Anchor on the three long columns. The middle columns carry a clue of 13 on a 15-tall grid — that single run is so long its cells are forced no matter where it starts, so you can fill almost the entire upright before touching anything else.
Let the crossbar rows fall into place. Three rows share a clue of 11. With the upright already fixed, the overlap rule pins the middle of each 11-run immediately, and the symmetry of the shape tells you the rest fans out evenly on both sides.
Use the repeated 3s as a fill-guide. Every other row and the outer columns read as a lone 3, always sitting in the same central band. Once you spot that the 3s stack directly beneath the crossbar, the vertical beam almost draws itself.
Symbol of Faith is one of the friendliest nonograms to start with because it is built entirely from straight edges and right angles — no diagonals or curves to second-guess. Its left-right symmetry means once you solve one side of the crossbar, the other side mirrors it exactly, making this a great confidence-builder for anyone new to picross.
